With the second half of June upon us, it's time to move from our discussion of humor to that of audio books for teens.
I recently listened to the audio of *Code Name Verity* (by Elizabeth Wein) and it showed me again how listening to a polished production can augment my experience with a book that I already had read and appreciated. I tore through Code Name Verity when I read it last year, not able to turn the pages of this compelling novel quickly enough. Listening to the audio book allowed me to savor the story again and appreciate each instance of impeccable plotting and foreshadowing. The narrators brought depth to the character voices that were already in my head (but with much better accents than I could imagine).
Do you have an old favorite or a hot new audio title to share? * **Merri*
