Are you planning any special programs or events to observe the 75th anniversary of the award?

The Sheboygan (WI) Children's Book Festival (Oct. 11 -13) is joining the Caldecott anniversary celebration and including several Caldecott winners on this year's slate. We are thrilled that Paul O. Zelinsky, Betsy Lewin, Eric Rohmann and David McLimans will be a part of this year's Festival.

In addition to public Festival events, our planning committee is working with area schools to arrange visits by many of this year's outstanding authors and illustrators, including Caldecott winners. Through these school visits, hundreds of children will have the memorable experience of having an exceptional children's book creator visit their school.

The Sheboygan Children's Book Festival is a free, public event for children, teens, and adults. If you find yourself in Wisconsin in October, please join us!
