Very sad indeed to report the death of Gregory Rogers, author illustrator, and Australia's first Kate Greenaway Medal winner (for Way Home by Libby Hathorn). People may be familiar with his recent-ish wordless graphic novels: The Boy, The Bear, The Ballad, The Bard; Midsummer Knight and Hero of Little Street.
Greg had been ill for some time with cancer. His loss is being felt very deeply in the children's book community here in Australia, both personally and professionally.
