Forgive me if this posts twice. I had a bounce back message
When I think of "books that sing" What first comes to mind are picture books in that the words cause the reader to sing either because of exhilarating rhythm. For the very young Kate McMullan's Rockababy Band or Rebecca O'Connel's Baby Goes Beep or Marylyn Singer's Didi and Daddy on the Promanade. Or stories with song embedded, Kiss the Cow by Phyllis Root. And of course illustrated songs- Zelinsky's spectacular interactive Wheels on the Bus or Lenny Hort's Seals on the Bus with G, Brian Karas' engagingly winsome illustrations. My favorite recently published sing-aloud is Little Dumptruck by Margery Cuyler that can be sung to the tune- I'm a Little Teapot. Coming soon is Sing by Joe Raposo (yes the Sesame Street Song) illustrated by Tom Lichtenheld. Lichtenheld tells a wordless story accompanied by the song.
