No foolin'! There are only three months left in the year-long celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the Caldecott Medal. Here are a few ways to cel ebrate in April:
* Kadir Nelson will participate in a Caldecott 75th Anniversary Faceb ook Forum on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Noon Eastern. Nelson has been awarded a Caldecott Honor twice, in 2008 for his illustration of "Henry's Freedom Box: A True Story from the Undergr ound Railroad," written by Ellen Levine and in 2007 for illustration of "Mo ses: When Harriet Tubman Led Her People to Freedom," written by Carole Bost on Weatherford (Hyperion/Jump at the Sun). As part of the Forum, ALSC will interview Nelson about his Caldecott experiences. This event is open to the public and a Facebook account is not required to view the event. Participa nts can access the forum via the ALSC Facebook page .
* Take a stroll down memory lane and enjoy "75 Years of the Caldecott Medal ," a virtual scrapbook which captu res rarely seen moments and memorabilia from Caldecott history.
* Add a commemorative eBadge or Facebook cover to your profile with the free downloads available online.
