Those of you who live in the Northeast migth be interested in attending this program. It's an opportunity to visit the Eric Carle Museum, meet some award-winning children's book authors and illustrators, and go home with l ots of useful teaching tips:
  From Creative Process to Curriculum Connections: Children's Book in the Classroom Saturday, March 23, 2013, 10:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art 125 West Bay Road, Amherst, MA
  This program, which is intended for teachers, librarians, and other educators, features eight New England-based children's book authors and illustrators. Panels focused on fiction, picture book biographies, and the craft of research and writing will provide educators with plenty of ideas they can take back to their classrooms.
