The second half of November has arrived and it's time to move on to a new discussion topic:* Who Invited Them? Adults as Main Characters in Literature for Teens.
*Library tradition has long maintained that teens enjoy reading books with characters their own age or a little bit older. But we've recently noticed an aging of some YA protagonists, from the young-ish adult women of /Code Name Verity/ by Elizabeth Wein to the 75-year-old narrator of Aidan Chamber's /Dying to Know You./ Is this a response to the expanding audience for young adult fiction? What do teen readers have to say about it?
Let's hear your thoughts about YA books with older main characters.
