Please join us for a public lecture by Newbery Honor author Rita Williams-Garcia who will be on the UW-Madison campus next week to deliver the Charlotte Zolotow Lecture.

"Fictography: The Truth about Real Live Fictitious Folk"

Wednesday, November 7, 2012 7:30pm Varsity I & II, Union South 1308 W. Dayton St Madison, WI

Rita Williams-Garcia is the author of acclaimed novels for children and teens, including the Newbery honor book One Crazy Summer (Amistad/HarperCollins, 2010), No Laughter Here (HarperCollins, 2004), Like Sisters on the Homefront (Lodestar, 1995), and Fast Talk on a Slow Track (Dutton, 1991). This free public lecture is sponsored by the Cooperative Children's Book Center, a library of the UW-Madison School of Education; the Wisconsin Book Festival; and the Friends of the CCBC, Inc.

The event is part of the 2012 Wisconsin Book Festival . It is free and open to the general public. No tickets are required. There is parking available beneath Union South. Books by the author witll be avaialble for sale on site from A Room of One's Own.
