Just a reminder to the CCBC-Net Community: please hold all news items and announcements till the beginning of each month so we can try to keep the focus on the topic at hand. Right now, for example, we are just finishing up our discussion of the first 13 years of the Printz Award and next week we'll begin a two-week discussion of the books of Mo Willems.

I know there have been an unusual number of deaths in the children's book world in 2012, and there are now many ways for people to learn the latest news online. With this in mind, we can host a monthly "In Memorium" message to post at the beginning of each month. I'll try to keep track of all this sad news, but please feel free to send any notices you have directly to me at horning_at_education.wisc.edu so I can make sure I don't miss any news. Wouldn't it be wonderful to have a month where we didn't have any obits from the children's book world?
