I know, I know--it's not the beginning of the month (although it is the beginning of the sign of Leo).
Sally Ride's final trip into the ether, as were many other trips of people important to us recently, reminded me of something I did when I was in service to children. When there was a death of an author, or subject of a book, I would clip the obit, make a copy (even in the days before reprography--I typed them) and pasted or taped the obit into the book to bring the info up-to-date.
Thus, I would add a Sally Ride obit to a front binder's leaf in the books the collection holds about her.
Please do not scold me for destroying the pristine quality of a book. Pristine copies means unread copies.
And happy Leo to you.
