I rarely post to this listserve, but I have to support Rachel's inclusion of Max's First Word to this discussion. I made the mistake, some years ago, of giving away my original small-trim book thinking that I could easily replace it. Not only are the Max books no longer in that size, but Max's First Word, the best of the Max books (IMHO) has disappeared altogether. Why? Someone please tell us WHY!
