Just a quick comment as we end our school year -- Jean Craighead George gav e children a wonderful type of fiction with her attention to nature and the wonder available there. Many of my students find a new or renewed interest in reading when they dis cover My Side of the Mountain. Of course there are many other titles I could mention but that is a true cl assic!!!
