I have to comment on this subject because this book has been a favorite of mine for years, Ruby the copycat by Peggy Rathmann. I love the life lesso n and the relationship that develops. I also adore the illustrations especi ally Ruby's hair, her pointy shoes, her dress with pinned-on daisies an d her fake fingernails!!!
