This Sunday's, May 13, 2012, New York Times Book Review (available in advan ce by subscription only) has a full page article entitled "It Takes Two: Fo ur Books Explore Friendship Through Animal Pairs" written by Anita Silvey.

Four new books of animal pairs are featured:

The two pairs of picture book friends that I love are Frog and Toad & Georg e and Martha. They understand and accept each other. They can laugh at and play tricks on each other. They are always there for each other.
