I am concerned with book covers that don’t match their contents.
I agree. I had that concern with The Underneath. Strikingly beautiful, mystical, creepy story with graphically-described cruelty to animals. But the cover had a cute and cuddly-looking dog and kittens with a Homer Price vibe. No argument with either the story or the cover, just an unfortunate mismatch in my opinion.
