This is so true that authors don't always have a say in jacket art. I was
so lucky that HarperCollins chose artist Michael Deas for my first novel,
SAY GOODNIGHT, GRACIE. Not as happy with some of my subsequent covers. Lik e others posting here, some of the covers had illustrations where the artist
got character hair color wrong, or simply didn't create an eye-catching cover. We may not be able to judge a book by its cover, but gorgeous cover art draws us to a book we might not have noticed otherwise.
