FYI...( and not to be prickly)....

Most hardcovers have a jacket which is over the cover...

On paperbacks, there is a cover....

The distinctions are important, I promise....Norma Jean

P.S. The jacket on the hardcover and cover on a paperback is supposed to capture the content of the book in a single image and to also attract attention. I once worked with a guy who believed green jackets "don't sell," and vetoed every jacket comp in which green was the dominant color. Too bad he did not tell us he was partially color blind and could not see the color red! Also, jackets/covers are approved by a committee which can be a nightmare. And, stories abound about the few writers who have jacket/cover approval.
