Bringing books and young people together depends upon choice. We make choic es as we select, maintain and promote the books and collections we share. A nd the young people we serve make their own choices, the right to which we protect and defend. Please join us for a day of thought and discussion as w e contemplate the implications of these choices and celebrate every young p erson's right to read what and how she chooses.

The Truth About Choice Saturday, February 25 Dominican University Main Campus Parmer Hall
Registration: 8:30 a.m. Program: 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Reception: 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
This is a day-long continuing education conference celebrating young people 's reading choices and investigating the book choices we make as profession al librarians and teachers behind the scenes.
Sessions include:
* A keynote address by noted Young Adult Author and Freedom to Read Adv ocate Chris Crutcher; * * A panel featuring editors and reviewers from review journals Booklist Magazine, The Bulletin of the Center for Children's Books, The Horn Book a nd Kirkus Reviews; and * * An interactive session where presenters and attendees share some of t he best (and worst) book choices they have made. The day concludes with a champagne reception in the new Butler Center.

The Butler Center is a cooperative project of the Graduate School of Librar y and Information Science, the School of Education and the Rebecca Crown Li brary.
