I watched the live webcast of the awards ceremony and am troubled by the fa ct that so many other awards were announced from the podium and this was no t. Can anyone explain why this particular group has been left out? Are ther e other awards that were not formally announced?

DALLAS – The American Indian Library Association has selected "“The Chr istmas Coat: Memories of My Sioux Childhood” (2011), written by Virginia Driving Hawk Sneve, illustrated by Ellen Beier; “Free Throw” (2011) and “Triple Threat” (2011), both written by Jacqueline Guest ; and “Pip estone: My Life in an Indian Boarding School” (2010), written by Adam For tunate Eagle, as recipients of the fourth American Indian Youth Literature Awards . The awards were announced at the American Library As sociation (ALA) Midwinter Meeting, held Jan. 20-24 in Dallas, and will be p resented at the ALA Annual Conference in Anaheim, Calif. June 21-26.
