With apologies for any cross-posting...
On December 1 the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County held its first Mock Newbery program, focusing discussion on five books: AMELIA LOST , by Candace Fleming; JUNONIA, by Kevin Henkes; SMALL AS AN ELEPHANT, by Je nnifer Richard Jacobson; INSIDE OUT AND BACK AGAIN, by Thannhai Lai; and OK AY FOR NOW, by Gary Schmidt. The results were as follows:
WINNER: Inside Out and Back Again (Lai)
HONOR: Small as an elephant (Jacobson) Amelia Lost (Fleming)
