wouldn't that depend on the focus of the biography? For example, a book tha t is about Abe's youth, or young Martin and his relationship with Daddy Kin g; or one on Abe's sense of humor, or that one on his hat (a leveled reader , not a PB, but the point is the same), or on Martin and his kids...there a re many slices of the biographical pie, and they serve different ends. That is the same in adult -- you can have a book that concentrates in one a rea of a person's life and is perfectly valid. Now if you have a cradle to grave book and neglect how he got to that end, that would be wrong. Marc Aronson
