I've always tho ught that anytime we discuss a book and the disparate impressions readers get from it, it's a good thing. It's when no one is talking about a book that I get saddened.
Devil's Advocate is a perfect example of how different people can read the same work filtered through a personal lens and see something different.
I thought the technique was a great vehicle to introduce the content....C.
