One of my favorite picture books dealing with class is May'naise Sandwiche s and Sunshine Tea by Sandra Belton. It's a gentle story about friendship a nd finding commonality without regard to economic status. I shared it with the girls in the book club I facilitate. It sparked some nice discussion ab out the joy of simple pleasures and appreciating people for who they are an d not what they have.
Warmest,
Kelly
