Sleeping on the couch........this reminds me of a social class issue overlap with a family value issue of the family bed. My family believed in the family bed for children under 5 and my husband who was raised with different values than I for once didn't argue about the concept. I was confused until I realized that his family was too poor to have more than one bedroom for all. So we happily agreed to a family bed when our daughter was born. There is a great book about a family bed and I can't for the life of me remember the name of. The bed keeps getting bigger and bigger and bigger as more children are born. It is really cute.
How many books do you know of that depict different sleeping arrangements for families?
