2nd Annual Sheboygan Children's Book Festival October 14-16, 2011 - Sheboygan WI
This free, public children's book festival features National Book Award winner M.T. Anderson, Caldecott Medal and Coretta Scott King Award winner Jerry Pinkney, and celebrated authors and illustrators Candace Fleming, Henry Cole, Tom Lichtenheld, Liz Garton Scanlon, Catherine Gilbert Murdock, Francisco X. Mora, and Stacey Williams-Ng. Memory is the theme for this year's festival and these acclaimed children's book creators will explore, discuss, and show how memories influence their books and their craft: The Sheboygan Children's Book Festival takes place at Mead Public Library, the John Michael Kohler Arts Center, and Bookworm Gardens. Workshops, readings, art-making studio sessions with illustrators, and book sales and signings are all part of this free event for kids, teens, families, and book lovers of all ages.
