THE THING ABOUT GEORGIE (by Lisa Graff) is that he's very short. Very, very short . . . in fact, a dwarf. And that's really noticeable. But Georgie somehow accepts that that's the special "thing" about him, and so do his parents, and his friends. This is a wonderful book about being different, and learning not to care. Readers will quickly recognize that the "thing" about Georgie is not that he's a dwarf, but that he's a really likable kid.
