I remember Trixie Belden and Honey Wheeler with great fondness- but only up until the fifth or sixth book, when they began to get sloppy and repetitive.
I am bemused by the popularity of reissued series titles- it's almost as if the format (long term reading experience with the same characters) has a such a strong appeal that anachronisms don't matter.
