My YA novel "Purple Daze" is set in 1965, an amazing time in our country's struggle for civil rights of many complexions: racisms, feminism, etc. I'm currently working on a 30-minute Readers Theater script based on the novel, which I hope will make an interesting application in high school classrooms, both Language Arts and History classes. Has anyone used Readers Theater to teach these types of issues?
