Summer Online Education from ALSC

Have a lot of time this summer, or not enough? ALSC has the right professional development training for you. With a full slate of online courses and webinars, ALSC has great topics and a convenient format that's affordable.

Beginning on July 11 and running through August 18, ALSC is offering four multi-week online education courses that are sure to enlighten and engage librarians at any point in their career. Course selections include:

Information Literacy-From Preschool to High School

(6 weeks, July 11 - August 19, 2011)

Out of This World Youth Programming

(6 weeks, July 11 - August 19, 2011)

The Newbery Medal: Past, Present and Future

(6 weeks, July 11 - August 19, 2011)

Reading Instruction and Children's Books

(5 weeks, July 11 - August 12, 2011)

ALSC is also hosting a series of rotating webinars. An hour-long each, these are perfect for busy librarians and children's literature enthusiasts. Each is offered multiple times between now and September to allow individuals more flexibility; however, participants should only register for and plan to attend one session. Webinars include:

Family Programs on a Shoestring _at_your library

(June 10, July 22, and August 23).
