For any of you in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area, I would like to inform you of a great professional development opportunity!
Good afternoon -
I would like to inform you about a great professional development opportunity coming up at the Franklin Public Library. We are proud to present Michael Sullivan, distinguished teacher, librarian and author of numerous titles on connecting boys with books on August 3, 2011. For more background on Michael, check out his website here: http://talestoldtall.com/index.html.
Michael will be presenting 2 different programs, one in the morning and one in the afternoon - Connecting Boys with Books and Why Boys Lit Gets a Bad Rap. Michael doesn't get to Wisconsin too much, so this is an excellent opportunity to come and get ideas on how to get boys excited about books! The flyer with all the information on the day's events is attached. If you choose to attend both morning and afternoon sessions and would like to order in lunch to the library, an order form for Cousins Subs is also attached. There is no registration fee - this program is completely free!
Register by sending an email stating your name, title and organization and the sessions you will be attending to keri.miller_at_mcfls.org. If you are ordering lunch attach the completed form to your registration email.
Register today!
We hope that you can join us for one or both of the sessions on August 3rd!
This program is generously sponsored by the Milwaukee County Federated Library System.
