I am enjoying reading a new book called Life as we knew it by Susan Pfeffer which is a futuristic apocalyptic novel for teens which shows what it would be like to go through "hard times" with gas at 10 dollars a gallon, electricity unpredictable, food scarce and schools closed. Trying to plan ahead for the unknown, rationing out food and supplies with only your best guess to guide you on what you may or may not need in the future.
Life has felt a bit like that this year for my family. We can relate a bit.
