My husband and I also enjoy reading books aloud, much of the time in the car. We started reading aloud on longer car trips, but now do it even when running errands or otherwise--we're a one-car family--We've lately been reading the Conrad Richter trilogy--The Trees, The Fields, The Town, but have enjoyed all the Ladies Number One Detective Agency books and many other novels or shorter works of non-fiction. Sometimes we do children's books as well. Or poetry. I love this sharing. When we get really caught up in a book, we'll bring it inside and take turns reading. One of our favorite things to do! Little moments. So important, as Elsa tenderly shared.
Many thanks.
