I love what Megan wrote about the emotions than overcome us while reading a loud.
More than once I have had to stop because I was overcome with hilarity...or tears when I read aloud. I read to my class twice-picture books and poems in the morning, chapter bo oks at the end of the day. We record each book as we finish it and that lis t becomes one of the historic records of the year. I type it up and send it home at the end of the year-and we all love reading over the titles and re membering how much we loved the individual books. I have 17 years of read-a loud lists in this old computer and I often read over them so I don't forge t to read anything.
