I’m trying to find a book for one of my graduate students. It’s a pictu re book, it came out within the last 5 years, and is about a Central Americ an boy who is a good student and gets involved with an essay contest. In th e process he learns that the contest is rigged and is a way to get kids to spy on parents for the dictator. He then figures out how to use language to say what he means while protecting his family.
But I can’t remember the title or the author. Anyone recognize this? If so, please respond privately
Thanks,
Elliott batTzedek
