I would like to invite everyone in the New York City area to a panel discussion on the development of A Sick Day for Amos McGee with the illustrator and author Erin and Philip Stead, and the editor, Neal Porter. Hear the inside story of this much-celebrated picture book (2011 Caldecott Medal, 2011 Charlotte Zolotow Honor Award, 2010 New York Times 10 Best Illustrated Children's Books).

Friday, April 29, 2011, 10am-12 noon

Brooklyn Public Library Central Library, Grand Army Plaza (the corner of Eastern Parkway and Flatbush Av.)

Dweck Center Auditorium

Nearest subway stop is Eastern Parkway/Brooklyn Museum on the 2/3 train

You may bring your own copy of the book to be signed; books will not be for sale at the program.

If you would like to attend please reply by April 20th to Judy Zuckerman at j.zuckerman_at_brooklynpubliclibrary.org. Names of attendees are required for entrance to the library, since the building opens at 10am on Fridays.
