I knew and admired Margaret McElderry only from a distance.( I did have a chance to introduce myself once, at a CLNE session she addressed, and she was chaming, but that encounter was brief.). Still, I knew her well enough, through the books she edited and championed over the years, to agree that her death is a great loss for us all.
