My mother is a (LMSW) school social worker (27 years) and has worked with

children for 20 of them. She now works with autistic children and other kid s with learning disabilities. So she is very capable of dealing with someone such as myself! If you read the first part of my interview with my mom you will see that she read to us kids plenty and tried different things with me. It just

didn't work. She and I have discussed my current use of audio books. I list en to them when I paint. She marvels at the fact that I can do two things at once . It actually helps me concentrate and helps me sit still. Audio books also help me get interested in reading more. My younger sister is the complete opposite. She is the most veracious reader you'll ever meet. I think her goal is to read every complex classic novel in existence, including Tolstoy, etc.
