A new company (www.inkthinktank.com) of award-winning children's nonfiction authors is beta testing videoconference programs and conversations with schools. The questions to be discussed are: "How can we get teachers to routinely use more high-quality books on curriculum content (the books that are excerpted on the reading assessment tests)?" "How can we authors help in the process?" "What Education Standards are your stumbling blocks? Perhaps we can help." The authors involved cover math (David M. Schwartz), hands-on science (Vicki Cobb), natural history and Western Expansion (Dorothy Hinshaw Patent, Rosalyn Schanzer) American history (Jim Murphy, Rosalyn Schanzer, Penny Colman, Sue Macy).
