POSITION: Youth Services Department Head

LOCATION: Central Rappahannock Regional Library, Fredericksburg, Virginia

DESCRIPTION: The CRRL is seeking a Youth Services Department Head to manage daily operations and supervise Youth Services team at a busy, downtown Headquarters location of regional library system. Commitment to customer service required. Good communication skills, flexible work habits, knowledge of children's and young adult literature and child and adolescent development. Ability to relate to children, their caregivers, teens and fellow staff. Some evening and weekend hours are required. Central Rappahannock Regional Library, headquartered in historic Fredericksburg, Virginia, serves three counties and the City.

REQUIREMENTS: MLS degree from an ALA-accredited library school. Minimum two years public library or equivalent experience and supervisory experience required.

SALARY: Salary and rank are commensurate with applicant's experience and qualifications. Comprehensive benefits package accompany this position.
