Your Favorite Books of 2010

Each December, we invite members of the CCBC-Net community to share their favorite books for children and teen from the current publishing year. Tell us about the book or books that have stood out to you above all others. What books are you buying from this year to give as holiday gifts? While we try to avoid predicting the year's award winners, if you are holding a mock award discussion this month, please tell us what books you're discussing and what books were selected in your communities.
Speaking of awards, the American Library Association 2011 youth media awards will be announced on Monday, January 10, 2011. At that time, we'll begin a general discussion of the award winners. Until then, we'll continue to discuss our favorites. Since we'll be discussing favorites through January 9, we'll extend the open announcement period until Monday December 6. But please feel free to start talking about your favorite books of 2010, too.
