Hello,

I apologize if I am not following the protocol of this list, but I have a r eference question that my colleagues and I need help solving. We have a pat ron looking for a children's book but we can't seem to track down the corre ct title and/or author. Here's the information the patron has provided abou t the book:

- Juvenile fiction ("chapter book") published in the 1970s - About a river otter adopted and raised by a boy - The boy kept the otter in the bathtub for awhile and took the otter out i n the snow one winter - Title is believed to be Odie the Otter

If this book is ringing a bell with anyone or if you have any suggestions w here we could search (we've tried all the usual suspects - WorldCat, our li brary catalog, Amazon, etc and aren't coming up with anything), please repl y off list.
