Mockingbird Wins National Book Award

Last night it was announced that the winner of the National Book Award in t he Young People's Literature category was "Mockingbird" by Katheryn Erskine (Philomel). "Mockingbird" is an affecting middle-grade novel about a ten-y ear-old girl with Asperger's Syndrome coping with a family tragedy.
If you have read "Mockingbird" please let us know what you think. And it's fine to continue discussing the other nominees as well.
