Thanks for your responses to my questions, Norma Jean! I remember the days of pre-separated art and still marvel at the artists who could get their minds around it to produce such beautiful books.
I didn't expect there would be a return to those days, but assumed that black-and-white or two-color books would be less expensive to produce. Am I wrong in my assumption? (Sorry, but those of us in outside the publishing field know so little about the business end of things, so it is helpful to have knowledgeable colleagues who can tell us the realities of publishing.)
