Scholastic offers a Honeybee newsletter for toddlers and a Firefly newsletter for preschoolers available to day cares and preschools. In addition to paperback copies of books, a wide variety of top-notch board books are available. I recently purchased Margaret Wise Brown's *The Big Red Barn*, Leo Lionni's *Swimmy*, a Laura Joffe Numeroff mouse book and a D K fire truck board book for between $2-5/book.

I consider board books to be more ephemeral than picture books and those prices allow me to stock up and not think twice about books that have been chewed up, lost under car seats, left at the doctor's office, etc.
