Our colleague Jean Elvekrog who is very active in the Catholic Library Association shared a fine obituary article with me at the time of Carolyn's death. Jean, perhaps you still have that link at your fingertips? I'm certain that the CCBC-Net community will find this account of Carolyn's amazing career to be extremely compelling.
Julie, perhaps you're referring to the ALA/ALSC listserv, not to CCBC-Net. I've concluded that we are involved in more than one, and often in a wide variety of networks. Many overlap, but not always. Sometimes the originator of such news sends it to what to him/her is the most obvious possibly interested group.
I'm certain that the CCBC-Net community will find this account of Carolyn's amazing career to be extremely compelling.

I just learned that Carolyn Field died this summer...another great librarian/educator who worked in Philadelphia most of her life. She was certainly a gem.
