The Center for Children's Literature *Carthage College* *Invites you to*: "the Business of Children's Publishing" Who has edited the work of Jack Gantos, Michael Cadnum, and Anne Fine, amon g other note worthy children’s books creators? Come hear Wesley Adams talk about his work in helping other authors shape their work to more effectivel y reach readers. Who has worked with Carl Hiaasen, Jerry Spinelli and David Almond, among other noteworthy children’s Book creators? Come hear art director Isabel Warren-Lynch talk about her work as she designs art to enhance the words of these and many other famous writers.
Warren –Lynch and Adams are among eight speakers currently working in children’s book publishing. Each speaker has had direct contact with luminaries you know about. And they will tell you how their own individual work, as publisher, editor, agent, marketing manager, and bookseller intersects with these authors and illustrators as they bring books to your shelves and hands of your readers. Additional highlights: author Ann Bausum and illustrator Kevin Luthardt tal k about how they work with in-house publishing staff in the collaborative venture that is children’s book publishing.
