Enola Holmes and Echo Falls circulate pretty well here, and I love to hand-sell Enola Holmes. The ones that I get asked about more often, though, are the Sammy Keyes mysteries by Wendelin Van Draanen and Gilda Joyce by Jennifer Allison.

I get asked about The Diamond Brothers mysteries by Anthony Horowitz from time to time, too, and I've never been able to tell if they are usually mystery readers, or just fans of Alex Rider.

The Red Blazer Girls is on our Lone Star Reading List for 6th-8th grades and has been very popular!

 Mysteries

At the beginning of the month, Megan Schliesman introduced our topic for

these first two weeks of July: Mysteries for Children and Teens. It seems like the past few years, we've seen an uptick int he number of great new mystery series in children's trade books, such as the Echo Falls series by Peter Abrahams and the Enola Holmes series by Nancy Springer. Are these two series popular with kids in your library? what other mystery series are they reading?
