During the month of June, we'll be talking about graphic novels, comics and manga on CCBC-Net, dividing our discussion into two parts: titles for younger children and titles for older children and teens:
**Graphic Novels and Comics for Children: What's Hot? We'll spend the first part of June talking about the graphic novels are captivating the children in your libraries and classrooms. What are kids from kindergarten through early middle school finding irresistible when it comes to GNs and comics?
**Graphic Novels, Comics for Teens: What's Hot? We’ll continue the discussion during the second part of June looking at graphic novels and comics that have teens talking.
We're also interested in hearing about how the rise in broad popularity of GNs have impacted you in your work or as a reader. Have you been challenged by the form, or have you always been a fan? Have you seen comics and graphic novels reaching kids and teens who are reluctant to pick up other kinds of books? What kind of responses have you seen from in your communities to the visibile presence of graphic novels and comics in libraries and schools?
