Each year the Children's Book Committee at Bank Street College reviews over
6,000 children's and young adult books and creates an annual list of the year's best. The committee is currently celebrating its 100th anniversary!
Its printed lists have always been a valuable resource, but this year, for
the first time, the list is available free online. The list is organized by
age and by category--so, for example, if you're looking for an adventure story for a seven-year-old, a nonfiction science book for a nine-year-old,
or an historical novel for an eleven-year-old, you can find it easily.
As a member of the committee, I hope you'll check out our list and recommen d it to librarians, young people you know and their families, and everyone else who will enjoy this new online resource: http://www.bnkst.edu/bookcom/
