My apologies for spreading the word this way, but so many people have been

asking what happened with the contest (explained in the email below, although the links no longer worki) that I'm trying to let everyone know the fastest way possible. The result is that he won the contest! We're not su re how much the award will be yet, but we do know that it will be at least $5,000.

I want to let everyone who voted for him know how grateful we are that you

did this for us. Without your votes, he would not have won. So thank you,

thank you, thank you.

And I will try to get this email out to those individuals who have been

asking specifically as soon as I can.

Thanks again, Catherine

EMAIL THAT WENT OUT TO A VERY LARGE NUMBER OF PEOPLE IN MID-MARCH:

I don’t think you know this but my computer analyst husband w as in the WTC on 9/11. After that experience, Charlie went back to school and became a

nurse. Given the way his brain works, these two career choices tend to=2 0 converge in his head and, in his spare time, he’s been worki ng on computer programs that might benefit hospitals. He recently submitted two related programs to a contest sponsored by Livescribe. Whoever gets the most votes wins, so we are looking for friends to vote for the two programs. Would you help?

In addition to nursing, Charlie has been Balkin Buddies’ com puter expert, business consultant and, chief financial officer. Your votes could make a real difference, as the winners receive a financial award.

Voting is easy. All you have to do is click the thumbs up, which you can do once a day for both entries until March 31.

If you can vote, please do so as often as you can and here are the two =2 0 links for his inventions on Livescribe:

Talking Paper And Pen or der=votes_ order=votes)

TPAP questionnaire or der=votes_ order=votes)

Thanks, and feel free to pass this information on to others who would be

willing to vote.

Thanks, Catherine

P.S. – In the first video (Talking Paper and Pen), the nurse is Ch arlie and I’m the patient!
